This versatile pocket knife, known as Higonokami, is small enough to carry in your pocket. Completes any small task in cooking, craft, camping, foraging, opening boxes and anything else that you could think of.

Higonokami is a traditional shape of folding knife with a long history because the simplicity and functionality has a timeless value. These are made by Mr Nagao, the last blacksmith in Japan that is permitted to craft genuine Higonokami. ‘Higo’ is an old name of the region where the design of this folding knife was created, and ‘Kami’ means spirit or protector. Therefore, meaning 'protector of the Higo region’.

Handcrafted in Ono, Hyogo, Japan. This region is one of last of Japan where craftsman are still making knives with traditional knife making skills and practices. Each craftsman works collaboratively to ensure the tradition is kept alive and passed onto the next generation.
